Known for interpretations that balance intellectual insight with expressive depth, violinist Grimm Kwon has cultivated a distinctive artistic voice through rigorous musical exploration. She was admitted to Yewon School as the top-ranked applicant and graduated at the top of both the Music Department and the entire school, receiving the Music Award. She was likewise admitted to Seoul Arts High School as the top-ranked applicant, earned the Outstanding Performance Award throughout her three years of study, and graduated as the school's highest-achieving music student, receiving the Shin Soo-jung Scholarship. She then entered Seoul National University College of Music as the top-ranked student, received a full scholarship throughout her undergraduate studies, graduated first in the String Department, and went on to earn both her Master's and Doctoral degrees from the same institution.

Kwon made her concerto debut at the age of ten with the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra. She won first prize at numerous prestigious Korean competitions, including the Ewha & Kyunghyang Competition, Music Chunchu Competition, Hankook Ilbo Music Competition, Eumyoun Competition, Daegu TBC Music Competition, Korea-America National Music Competition, and the Seoul Baroque String Competition, earning national recognition at an early age. She subsequently appeared as soloist with the Suwon Philharmonic Orchestra, Daegu International Broadcasting Symphony Orchestra, Gyeonggi Philharmonic Orchestra, Eurasian Philharmonic Orchestra, National Police Symphony Orchestra, and the Senior Philharmonic Orchestra, establishing herself as a versatile soloist.

At the age of twelve, she gave her first solo recital at Kumho Art Hall. She was later invited by the late Park Seong-yong, former chairman of Kumho, to present a recital at his private Munho Hall. During the state visit of the President of Austria, she performed at the Blue House as a representative of Seoul Arts High School. As the top graduate of Seoul National University College of Music, she was also selected to perform in the prestigious Chosun Ilbo Young Artists Concert.

In addition to her solo career, Kwon served as concertmaster throughout her years at Yewon School, Seoul Arts High School, and Seoul National University, leading orchestras in subscription concerts, European tours, and opera productions. Her master's thesis examined performance practice through an analytical study of Ludwig van Beethoven's violin sonatas, while her doctoral dissertation investigated thematic variation and performance techniques in Paik Byung-dong's Passacaglia for Violin Solo (1997), presented in the form of a lecture recital. In 2021, she published an analytical study of Paik's Byeolgok '87 for violin and piano, focusing on both musical structure and performance interpretation. This research made her the first doctoral graduate in Seoul National University's String Department to earn a doctorate through a dissertation centered on contemporary Korean violin repertoire.

In recognition of her artistic achievements, Kwon received the Music Journal Young Artist Award in 2020. She has continued to expand her repertoire through solo recitals at the Seoul Arts Center, presenting complete cycles of the violin sonatas of Johannes Brahms and Beethoven.
