플루티스트 유재아는 12세 나이에 프랑스 파리시립음악원에 입학하여 Cycle Spécialisé 과정을 심사위원 만장일치로 조기 졸업하였으며, 파리고등국립음악원에 최연소로 입학하여 학·석사과정을 모두 수석으로 졸업하였다.이후 동음악원에서 실내악과정을 졸업하고, 파리시립음악원의 피콜로 최고연주자과정과 오케스트라과정, 파리고등사범음악원의 최고연주자 과정을 모두 심사위원 만장일치로 수석 졸업하였다. 

금호 영아티스트 출신 유재아는 프랑스의 FMAJI 국제콩쿠르에서 그랑프리를, 루마니아 Cluj-Napoca 국제 콩쿠르와 이탈리아 Gazzelloni 국제 콩쿠르에서 모두 최고점 수상과 현대곡 특별상, 오케스트라 특별상을 수상하며 유럽 전 지역에서 활발한 연주활동을 시작하였다. 콩쿨 부상으로 파리 île de France 순회공연을 시작으로 Cesky Krumlov국제 페스티벌, Teplice 필하모니, 비엔나 Musikverein 황금홀, 뮌헨 신년음악회, 프라하 신년음악회, 체코 Beethoven 페스티벌, 이탈리아 Comoclassica 페스티벌, 프랑스 Rochebonne, La Mer 페스티벌 등에 초청받아 연주하며 유럽에 이름을 알렸다. 또한 예레반에 초청되어 아르메니아 국립오케스트라와 하차투리안 바이올린 협주곡을 연주하며 현지 매체에 크게 소개되었으며, 이후 슬로바키아 국립오케스트라와 북체코오케스트라 지휘자에게 특별히 초청받아 여러차례 같은 곡으로 무대에 올랐다. 국내에서는 최초로 비발디 사계 전곡을 플루트로 연주하며 KBS 클래식 오디세이에 출연하였고, Sony Classical 에서 비발디의 사계 음반을 발매했다. 

실내악에도 많은 관심을 갖고 있는 그녀는, 세계적인 하피스트 Jana Bouskova, 베를린 필하모닉 오케스트라 수석 하피스트 Marie-Pierre Langlamet와 북체코 오케스트라, 프라하 라디오 오케스트라에 초청받아 프라하 Dvorak Rudolfinum홀, Cesky Krumlov국제 페스티벌, 체코Karlovy Vary 페스티벌, Teplice 필하모니 홀 등에서 협연하였으며, 비엔나 필하모닉 오케스트라 수석 하피스트 Anneleen Lenaerts 와 듀오리사이틀을 비롯 LA 필하모닉 수석 플루티스트를 역임한 Julien Beaudiment, 프랑스 국립오케스트라 솔리스트 Michel Moragues와 듀오리사이틀을 가졌으며, 프랑스 Rochebonne 페스티벌에 초청되어 피아니스트 Hervé Billaut, 하피스트 Isabelle Moretti와 협연 무대를 가졌다. 

파리의 Cortot 홀과 파리아르메니안 성당 초청으로 다수의 독주회를 가졌으며 파리사범고등음악원 수석졸업으로 프랑스 한국문화원의 초청을 받아 연주하고 귀국하였다. 귀국 후 일신홀 프리즘 시리즈와 롯데문화재단의 신진아티스트로 선정되며 일신홀과 롯데콘서트홀에서 독주회를 가졌으며, 예술의 전당 콘서트홀, 롯데콘서트홀, 성남아트센터, 충무아트센터, 해운대문화회관, 부산 GMC (금난새뮤직센터) 등에서 다수의 협연무대를 비롯해 독주회와 실내악 연주로 활발한 활동을 이어가고 있다. 

파리고등음악원 재학시절 스위스 Verbier Festival Orchestra 단원으로 선발되어 2년간 활동하였으며, 2020년 Verbier Festival 의 주니어 오케스트라 코치로 초청되었다. 프랑스국립오케스트라, 라디오프랑스필하모닉오케스트라, 파리현대음악앙상블, 리용국립오페라오케스트라등에서 수석, 부수석 객원연주 활동을 통해 Charles Dutoit,Valery Gergiev,Daniel Harding,Kurt Masur,Neeme Jarvi 등 세계적인 지휘자들의 지휘아래 연주하였으며, 귀국 후 성남시향 객원수석, 대전시향 객원수석, 뉴월드필하모닉 오케스트라 수석을 역임하였다. 

최근에는 독일 Rheinische 시립교향악단 투어 연주회에 솔리스트로 초청받아, Simmern, Klagenfurt 그리고 Vienna Musikverein 황금홀에서의 협연무대를 성공적으로 마쳤으며 세계적인 피아니스트 Emmanuel Strosser와 리사이틀 무대를 선보였다. 2026년 하반기에는 프랑스 피아니스트 Jean-Baptiste Fonlupt 과 프랑스와 벨기에에서 다수의 독주회와 마스터클래스가 예정되어있다.

Flutist Jaea Yoo entered the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Paris at the age of twelve, where she completed the Cycle Spécialisé early by unanimous decision of the jury. She then became the youngest student to enter the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, graduating at the top of her class in both the bachelor’s and master’s programs. She subsequently completed the chamber music program at the same institution, and went on to graduate with highest honors and unanimous jury distinction from the advanced piccolo performance and orchestral programs at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Paris, as well as from the highest performance program at the École Normale de Musique de Paris.

A Kumho Young Artist, Yoo won the Grand Prix at the FMAJI International Competition in France, and received top-score prizes as well as Special Prizes for Contemporary Music and Orchestra at the Cluj-Napoca International Competition in Romania and the Gazzelloni International Competition in Italy. These achievements marked the beginning of her active performing career throughout Europe. Following a concert tour in the Île-de-France region as part of her competition prize, she was invited to perform at the Český Krumlov International Music Festival, with the Teplice Philharmonic, at the Golden Hall of the Vienna Musikverein, the Munich New Year’s Concert, the Prague New Year’s Concert, the Beethoven Festival in the Czech Republic, the Como Classica Festival in Italy, and the Rochebonne and La Mer festivals in France, earning recognition across Europe.

She was also invited to Yerevan, where she performed an arrangement of Khachaturian’s Violin Concerto with the Armenian National Orchestra, receiving significant attention from local media. She was later specially invited by the conductors of the Slovak National Orchestra and the North Czech Orchestra to perform the same work on multiple occasions. In Korea, she became the first flutist to perform Vivaldi’s complete Four Seasons on flute, appearing on KBS Classic Odyssey, and released an album of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons with Sony Classical.

Deeply engaged in chamber music, Yoo has collaborated with internationally acclaimed harpists Jana Boušková and Marie-Pierre Langlamet, principal harpist of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. She has been invited to perform with the North Czech Orchestra and the Prague Radio Orchestra at major venues and festivals, including Dvořák Hall at the Rudolfinum in Prague, the Český Krumlov International Music Festival, the Karlovy Vary Festival in the Czech Republic, and Teplice Philharmonic Hall. She has also given duo recitals with Anneleen Lenaerts, principal harpist of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra; Julien Beaudiment, former principal flutist of the Los Angeles Philharmonic; and Michel Moraguès, soloist of the Orchestre National de France. At the Rochebonne Festival in France, she was invited to perform with pianist Hervé Billaut and harpist Isabelle Moretti.

Yoo has given numerous solo recitals at the invitation of venues including Salle Cortot in Paris and the Armenian Cathedral in Paris. After graduating at the top of her class from the École Normale de Musique de Paris, she was invited to perform by the Korean Cultural Center in France before returning to Korea. Since then, she has been selected for the Ilshin Hall Prism Series and as an emerging artist by the Lotte Foundation for Arts, presenting solo recitals at Ilshin Hall and Lotte Concert Hall. She continues to maintain an active career as a soloist and chamber musician, appearing in concerto performances and recitals at major Korean venues including Seoul Arts Center Concert Hall, Lotte Concert Hall, Seongnam Arts Center, Chungmu Art Center, Haeundae Cultural Center, and Busan GMC, the Geum Nan-sae Music Center.

During her studies at the Conservatoire de Paris, Yoo was selected as a member of the Verbier Festival Orchestra in Switzerland, where she performed for two years. In 2020, she was invited to serve as a coach for the Verbier Festival Junior Orchestra. As a guest principal and assistant principal flutist, she has performed with leading ensembles including the Orchestre National de France, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, the Ensemble Intercontemporain, and the Orchestre de l’Opéra National de Lyon, appearing under the batons of world-renowned conductors such as Charles Dutoit, Valery Gergiev, Daniel Harding, Kurt Masur, and Neeme Järvi. After returning to Korea, she served as guest principal flutist of the Seongnam Philharmonic Orchestra and the Daejeon Philharmonic Orchestra, and as principal flutist of the New World Philharmonic Orchestra. 

Most recently, Yoo was invited as soloist for a tour with the Rheinische Philharmonie in Germany, successfully performing in Simmern, Klagenfurt, and at the Golden Hall of the Vienna Musikverein. She also presented a recital with internationally renowned pianist Emmanuel Strosser. In the second half of 2026, she is scheduled to give a series of recitals and masterclasses in France and Belgium with French pianist Jean-Baptiste Fonlupt.

She currently teaches at Yewon School, Seoul Arts High School, and Kaywon Middle and High School of Arts.
