첼리스트 김진경은 독일 드레스덴 국립음악대학교에서 석사 및 최고연주자과정을 마쳤으며, 그에 앞서 베를린 한스 아이슬러 국립음대에서 학사과정을 졸업하였다. 학문적 기반 위에 다져진 그의 연주력은 유럽 주요 무대에서 두각을 나타내며 인정받아, 베를린 코미셰 오퍼(베를린 코믹 오페라)에서 정단원으로 활동했으며, 드레스덴 슈타츠카펠레 아카데미 단원 및 객원 단원으로도 활약하였다.

 국제무대에서도 그의 역량은 빛을 발했다. 폴란드에서 열린 Michala Spisaka 국제음악콩쿠르에서 2위를 수상하였고, 스페인의 Austin Aponte 국제콩쿠르에서 3위, 독일 드레스덴 국립음대 실내악 콩쿠르에서는 특별상을 받으며 국제적인 입지를 다졌다. 국내에서도 음악저널 1위, 바로크콩쿠르 3위, 대구 TBC콩쿠르 3위, 난파콩쿠르 1위를 포함해 다수의 콩쿠르에서 입상하며 뛰어난 실력을 입증하였다. 연주자로서의 활동 역시 활발히 이어오고 있다. 그는 Katowice Philharmonic Orchestra, Südwestdeutsche Philharmonie Konstanz, 수원시립교향악단 등과 협연하였으며, 수원시향, 천안시향, 충북도립교향악단, 화음챔버오케스트라에서 객원수석으로도 참여하며 국내외 오케스트라와의 지속적인 협업을 통해 음악적 폭을 넓혔다. 또한 평창대관령음악제의 페스티벌 오케스트라 단원, 고잉홈 프로젝트 단원으로 활동하며 다양한 무대에서 예술적 감성을 전했다. 

 현재 그는 실내악 그룹 Riant Ensemble의 멤버로서도 활약 중이며, 독주와 앙상블 무대를 넘나들며 다채로운 음악 세계를 펼치고 있다.

Cellist Jinkyung Kim completed both her Master's and Konzertexamen (postgraduate concert diploma) degrees at the University of Music Carl Maria von Weber in Dresden, Germany, following her Bachelor’s degree at the Hochschule für Musik “Hanns Eisler” in Berlin. With a solid academic foundation and refined artistry, she quickly rose to prominence on major European stages. She served as a full-time member of the Komische Oper Berlin and was also an academy and guest member of the Staatskapelle Dresden. 

 Her musical excellence has been recognized in international competitions. She won 2nd Prize at the Michal Spisak International Music Competition in Poland and 3rd Prize at the Austin Aponte International Music Competition in Spain. She also received a special prize at the Chamber Music Competition held at the Dresden University of Music. In Korea, she has earned numerous awards, including 1st Prize at the Music Journal Competition, 3rd Prize at both the Baroque Competition and Daegu TBC Competition, and 1st Prize at the Nanpa Competition, demonstrating her musical prowess both at home and abroad. As a performer, Kim has appeared as a soloist with orchestras such as the Katowice Philharmonic Orchestra, Südwestdeutsche Philharmonie Konstanz, and the Suwon Philharmonic Orchestra. She has also served as guest principal cellist with leading Korean ensembles including the Suwon Philharmonic, Cheonan Philharmonic, Chungbuk Provincial Symphony Orchestra, and the Hwaum Chamber Orchestra. Her orchestral experience extends to being a member of the PyeongChang Festival Orchestra and the Going Home Project, through which she has conveyed her musical sensitivity on a wide range of stages.

Currently, she is an active member of the Riant Ensemble, performing both as a soloist and chamber musician while continuing to explore a rich and diverse musical journey.
