레비 구나르디는 인도네시아 자카르타에서 태어났다. 5살 때 일렉톤을 배우기 시작했고, 6살 때 피아노를 배우기 시작했다. 그는 인도네시아 전역에서 많은 공연을 했고, JOC (Junior Original Concert)에 참여해 피아노와 일렉톤을 위한 오리지널 작품을 작곡하며 여러 주요 도시에서 공연했다. 레비는 1992년 Ferdinand Marsa의 지도 아래 열린 국가 Yamaha 일렉톤 축제에서 우승하고, 싱가포르에서 열린 동남아시아 Yamaha 일렉톤 축제에서 "가장 뛰어난 공연상"을 받았다. 일본 교토에서 열린 국제 Yamaha 일렉톤 축제에서도 "우수한 공연상"을 받았다. YPM에서 전공 전 예술학교 음악 공부를 한 후, 1996년 뉴욕 맨해튼 음악 학교에 입학하여 Constance Keene의 지도 아래 피아노 연주를 공부했으며, Marc Silverman, Isadore Cohen, Gerald Robyns와 함께 챔버 음악도 연주했다. 1997년에는 레슈치츠키 협회 지도 아래 Steinway Hall과 Donell Library에서 공연을 했다. 1999년에는 Cedar Rapids 교향악단의 Christian Tiemeyeer 지휘 아래 William Whipple과 함께 "동물의 카니발"을 연주했으며, 뉴저지 Bergen 필하모닉 협연 대회의 결선자 중 하나였다. 

레비는 자카르타의 다양한 공연장에서 리사이틀을 여러 차례 열었으며, 싱가포르의 Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (2002년)와 Esplanade Recital Hall (2009년)에서도 공연을 했다. 2016년 11월 카자흐스탄 아스타나의 카자흐 대학 예술 학교에서 피아노 솔로 리사이틀과 마스터 클래스를 진행했으며, 2013년 자카르타의 55주년 독립 기념일 음악회에서 Twilite 오케스트라와 함께 솔로리스트로 출연했다. 레비는 맨해튼 음악 학교에서 전액 장학금을 받아 학사 및 석사 학위를 마쳤다 (2002년). 최근 2023년에는 독일 베를린에서 바이올리니스트 Iskandar Widjaja와 함께 공연하고, 체코 공화국 ANT-Petrof 홀에서도 솔로 공연을 했다. 2002년 인도네시아로 귀국한 이후 그는 자카르타에서 피아노 강사, 작곡가, 녹음 아티스트, 콘서트 피아니스트로 활동하며 피아노 대회의 심사위원으로도 활동했다. 그는 자카르타에 있는 피아노 교육 기관 "Life On Piano"의 설립자이며, 이 기관은 다양한 연령대의 약 700명의 피아노 학생을 보유하고 있다. 

레비는 "Pianist" (2003년)와 "Denting" (2015년) 등의 여러 앨범을 발매했으며, 젊은 피아니스트들이 연주하는 자신의 작품들의 음반 프로듀서로도 활동하고 있다. 그의 학생들은 싱가포르, 호주, 독일, 네덜란드, 한국, 미국에서 음악 공부를 이어가고 있다.

Levi Gunardi was born in Jakarta, Indonesia. At the age of 5, he began to study the electone, and at 6, he began formal piano study. Levi has given numerous performances throughout Indonesia. He entered the JOC (Junior Original Concert, a group of talented musicians under 15 years of age) and composed original pieces for piano and electone, which he performed in several major Indonesian cities. Levi was the winner of the 1992 National Yamaha Electone Festival under Ferdinand Marsa's guidance and received "The Most Outstanding Performance Award” at the Southeast Asia Yamaha Electone Festival in Singapore. He also received another “Outstanding Performance Award” at the International Yamaha Electone Festival in Kyoto, Japan. Following his pre-conservatory music studies at YPM, where he received the YPM artist award with Iravati M Soediarso as his teacher, in 1996, Levi was accepted into the Manhattan School of Music in New York City, USA, and studied piano performance under Ms. Constance Keene, also chamber music with Marc Silverman, Isadore Cohen, and Gerald Robyns. In 1997, he performed in Steinway Hall and the Donell Library, both of which are under the direction of the Leschetizky Association. In 1999, Levi performed “Carnival of the Animals” with fellow pianist William Whipple, under the baton of Christian Tiemeyeer and his Cedar Rapids Symphony Orchestra. In the same year, he was one of the three finalists of the Bergen Philharmonic Concerto Competition in New Jersey, USA. 

Levi has given numerous recitals in Jakarta's concert halls, such as Gedung Kesenian Jakarta, Erasmus Huis, Goethe Haus, Usmar Ismail Hall, Salihara Theatre, and @america, as well as in other cities in Indonesia and Singapore, including Nanyang Academy Of Fine Arts (2002) and Esplanade Recital Hall (2009). In November 2016, he was invited to give a piano solo recital and masterclass at the Kazakh University of Arts in Astana, Kazakhstan. He also appeared as a soloist with the Twilite Orchestra, conducted by Addie MS, at the celebration of the 55th year of Indonesian Independence Day, attended by then-President Abdurrahman Wahid and Vice President Megawati Soekarnoputri. Levi completed his Bachelor and Master of Music degrees under the President Circle full scholarship award from the prestigious Manhattan School of Music, New York City, USA, in 2002. Recently, in 2023, he performed with violinist Iskandar Widjaja in Berlin, Germany, and had a solo performance in ANT-Petrof Hall in the Czech Republic. Since his return to Indonesia in 2002, he has been active as a piano lecturer, composer, recording artist, concert pianist, and jury member in piano competitions. He is also the founder of the piano institution "Life On Piano" music center in Jakarta, Indonesia, which has around 700 piano students of all ages. 

Levi has released several albums, including "Pianist" (2003) and "Denting" (2015), and he is the executive producer of his compositions played by young pianists, such as "Imaginary World" (2015), "Semesta" (2017), "Little Stories" (2018), "Inside Out" (2018), "Rainbow" (2018), "Pekanbaru Young Pianists" (2019), and "Excursions" (2020). His students have continued their music studies at universities and conservatories in Singapore, Australia, Germany, Holland, South Korea, and the USA.
