피아니스트 김민재는 예원학교와 한국예술종합학교 예비학교, 서울예술고등학교를 거쳐 베를린 국립예술대학교(Universität der Künste Berlin)에서 디플롬 및 최고연주자 과정을 최우수 졸업하고, 파리 고등사범음악원(ENMP) 최고연주자과정과 잘츠부르크 모차르테움 음대, 피에솔레 음악원에서 최고연주자과정을 수학하며 그의 예술적 깊이를 더했다.

그는 국내에서 인터내셔널 피아노 콩쿠르 1위와 소년한국일보 콩쿠르, 서울 청소년 실내악 콩쿠르 금상, 벡스타인 삼익 피아노 콩쿠르, 평택대학교 음악콩쿠르, 국민일보 한세대 콩쿠르등에서 수상하며 음악적 성과를 나타내었다. 뿐만 아니라 Roberta Gallinari, Huesca, Ischia International Piano Competition 등에서 수상하였고, New York International Music Competition 2위, International Music Competition “Franco Margola”, Danubia International Music Competition, Oltregiogo International Piano Competition, London International Music Competition, Laszlò Spezzafferi International Music Competition에서 1위 입상하며 탄탄한 연주 실력을 입증하였다.

Pianist Minjae Kim graduated with highest honors from the Diploma and Konzertexamen (highest performance degree) programs at the Universität der Künste Berlin, following his studies at Yewon School, the Pre-College of the Korea National University of Arts, and Seoul Arts High School. He further enriched his artistry by completing advanced performance programs at the École Normale de Musique de Paris (ENMP), the Mozarteum University Salzburg, and the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole. 

 In Korea, he won First Prize at the International Piano Competition, as well as top prizes at the Boy’s Hankook Ilbo Competition, Seoul Youth Chamber Music Competition (Gold Prize), Bechstein Samick Piano Competition, Pyeongtaek University Music Competition, and Kookmin Ilbo Hansei University Competition. Internationally, he has also received numerous accolades, including awards at the Roberta Gallinari, Huesca, and Ischia International Piano Competitions, Second Prize at the New York International Music Competition, and First Prizes at the Franco Margola, Danubia, Oltregiogo, London, and Laszlò Spezzafferi International Piano Competitions. Beginning with his debut at the Kumho Prodigy Concert, he has showcased his talent at various prestigious venues and festivals, such as Musikfestwoche Crescendo Berlin, Berlin Steinwayhaus Förderpreiskonzert, Fête de la Musique Berlin, Jour-Fixe Konzert at the Berlin Instrument Museum, Mosaiksaal Siemensstadt, Salle Cortot in Paris, Temple de Port-Royal in Paris, Concerti del Tempietto at Teatro di Marcello in Rome, Ulrichshusen Schloss Konzert, Festival Musical Des Grands Crus De Bourgogne, Romantica Della Cultura Castello Caetani, Marktredwitz Stadthalle, Rehau Altes Rathaus, Bergen International Music Festival, Corporate Concert Berlin, Avondconcerten Ruïnekerk Bergen, Conservatori Municipal de Felanitx, Project Music House Concert Marbella, Joy Piano Quartet Recital at Seoul Stradium, Nuit de la Musique Française at Salon de Musique in Seoul, Poetry and Music at The Grande Studio, 2024 Elim Art Center Rising Star Series, Contemporary Music Night at the Korean Cultural Center in Germany, and the Year-End Concert at the Japanese Embassy in Germany, as well as the Festival Musicale delle Nazioni at Chiostro di Campitelli. He has further refined his artistry through masterclasses with renowned pianists such as Karl-Heinz Kämmerling, Richard Goode, Klaus Hellwig, Jacques Rouvier, Dmitri Bashkirov, Leif Ove Andsnes, and Ferenc Rados. His chamber music skills have been nurtured through coaching with distinguished musicians including Albrecht Mayer, Sabine Meyer, Vineta Sareika, and the Artemis Quartet.

Minjae Kim studied under teachers such as Soohee Uh, Jieun Park, Chung Mo Kang, Pascal Devoyon, Rikako Murata, Lucas Blondeel, Anne Queffélec, Peter Lang, Eliso Virsaladze, and Olivier Gardon. He is currently a faculty member at Kaywon Middle School of Arts, Kaywon High School of Arts, Deokwon Arts High School, and Chungbuk Arts High School, while actively performing on various stages.
