피아니스트 윤영화는 예원학교와 경기여자고등학교에서 기초 소양을 쌓은 후 서울대 기악과에 진학, 우등졸업하였고 동 대학원에서 석사학위를 취득 했다. 이후 미국 Estman School of Music(EMS)에서 피아노 연주 및 문헌 을 전공으로 석사 및 박사 학위를 취득하며 학위과정을 마쳤다. 

재학 중 삼익 장학금, 영창장학금, Lizzie Teague Scholarship을 받았고 Accompanying Assistant와 Teaching Associate로서 EMS Graduate Award를 수상하 였다. 이화경향콩쿠르, 호루겔콩쿠르, 동아콩쿠르에 상위 입상한바 있으며 EMS 졸업 시 뛰어난 연주자에게 주어지는 Performer’s Certificate를 받기 도 하였다. 항상 노력하는 연주자의 자세를 지향하며 19회의 독주회를 가졌고, 1993 년 학구적인 주제를 모토로 하는 연주모임인 ‘Soloists’ 93’을 결성하여 Rachmaninoff Preludes, Prokofieff Ballet Music, 20세기 Preludes, 현 대 피아노 음악, Hommage a Chopin 등의 다양한 주제로 22회의 기획 연 주회를 선보였다. 이외에도 피아니스트 박숙련과 수차례의 듀오 연주회를 가 졌으며, Bechstein 초청 리사이틀 시리즈, 쇼팽협회정기연주회, 피아노학회 정기연주회, 피아노 두오협회 정기연주회, 리스트학회 연주회, 피아노문헌학 회 정기연주회, 코스모스홀 초청연주회, 이원문화센터 초청연주회 등에서 연 주하였다. 

또한 음악춘추사 후원으로 전국에 걸쳐 어린이를 위한 음악회, 청소년을 위한 음악회를 가진 바 있다. 음연캠프, 음악세계캠프, DMZ Music Festival에 참여하였으며 International Piano Campus Concour 심사위원 을 역임하였다. 지속적인 연주와 병행하여 교육자로서의 역할도 성공적으로 수행해 서울대, 이화여대, 숙명여대, 건국대에 출강하였고 카톨릭대 겸임교수, 백제예술대 교수를 역임한 바 있으며, 국민대학교 예술대학교 음악학부 교수를 역임하였다.

Pianist Yoon Young-Hwa went to the Department of Instrumental Music at Seoul National University, graduated with honors, and obtained a master's degree from the graduate school after accumulating basic skills at Yewon School and Gyeonggi Women's High School. She later finished her degree at the Estman School of Music (EMS) in the United States, earning a master's and doctorate degrees in piano performance and literature.

While attending school, she received Samik Scholarship, Youngchang Scholarship, and Lizzie Teague Scholarship, and received the EMS Graduate Award as an Accompanying Assistant and Teaching Association. She won the top prizes in the Ewha Kyunghyang Competition, the Horugel Competition, and the Dong-A Competition, and received the Performer's Certificate given to outstanding performers when she graduated from EMS. With modest attitude and hardworking mind, she held 19 recitals in 1993, and formed Soloists' 93', a performance group with academic themes, and presented 22 performances under various themes such as Rachmaninoff Preludes, Prokofiev Ballet Music, 20th Century Preludes, modern piano music, and Hommage a Chopin. In addition, she held several duo concerts with pianist Park Sook-ryeon, including a recital series invited by Bechstein, a Chopin Association regular concert, a Piano Duo Association regular concert, a List Society concert, a Piano Literature Society regular concert, a Cosmos Hall invitation concert, and Ewon cultural center invitation concert.

Also, under the sponsorship of the Music ChunChu Co, there were concerts for children and concerts for teenagers across the country. She participated in the Eumyoun Camp, the Eumaksekye Camp, and the DMZ Music Festival, and served as a judge at the International Piano Campus Concert. In addition to continuous performances, she has successfully performed as an educator, at Seoul National University, Ewha Womans University, Sookmyung Women's University, Konkuk University, and served as an adjunct professor at Catholic University, Baekje University of Arts, and Kookmin University as a professor.
