 전 세계의 청중들을 매료시킨 피아니스트 Sergei Tarasov는 국제 콩쿠르 세계 연맹 산하의 다수 대회에서 우승한 놀라운 기록을 가지고 있다. 시드니 피아노 국제콩쿠르(1위), 프라하의 봄 국제콩쿠르(1위), 몬테카를로 국제콩쿠르(1위), 스페인 국제콩쿠르(1위), 부조니 국제 콩쿠르(2위), 아르투르 루빈스타인 국제콩쿠르(2위), 차이코프스키 국제 콩쿠르(4위) 등 세계 유수의 국제콩쿠르를 석권했다. 그는 매년 러시아를 비롯하여 독일, 프랑스, 스위스, 크로아티아, 러시아, 이탈리아, 일본 등 전 세계의 음악축제에 초청받아 연주하고 있으며, 2017년에는 중국 콘서트 투어로 23개의 도시에서 독주회를 성황리에 마쳤다. 뿐만 아니라 모스크바 볼쇼이 홀, 모스크바 국제 공연예술센터, 상트페테르부르크 필하모닉 협회 홀, 도쿄 산토리 홀, 오사카 페스티벌 홀, 밀라노 살라 베르디 홀, 시드니 오페라 하우스, 잘츠부르크 모차르테움, 파리 살 가보 홀, 세비야 마에스뜨란사, 대만 국립 콘서트 홀 등에서도 수백여 차례 독주회를 가졌다. 또한 러시아 국립 교향악단, 모스크바 필하모닉 소사이어티, 상트페테르부르크 심포니, 도쿄 메트로폴리탄, 시드니 심포니, 이스라엘 필하모닉 관현악단 등 그밖에도 수많은 세계적 오케스트라들과 협연 무대를 이어오고 있다.  Vadim Repin, Alexander Buzlov, Clara Jumi Kang 등 세계적인 음악가들과 함께 유럽 순회연주 및 협연을 가졌으며, 2011년, 2013년, 2019년에는 폴란드에서 열리는 < Artur Rubinstein Piano Festival >에 연주자로 초청받아 독주회와 협연무대를 가졌고, 특히 2019년 3월에는 Vadim Repin 이 음악감독으로 있고, 러시아의 주요 음악제 중 하나인 < Trans-Siberian Art Festival > 에 초청되어 오프닝 공연으로 라흐마니노프 피아노 협주곡 2번을 연주하여 현지 관객들로부터 열렬한 환호를 받았다. 그 이후로도 지금까지 러시아에서 수차례 협연 및 독주회를 꾸준히 초청받아 연주하고 있다. 2024년 5월에는 CBS 창사 70주년 The 차이코프스키를 Vadim Repin 과 함께 이틀연속 전석매진이라는 기록으로 화려하게 끝마치고 지난 7월, 중국 Lanzhou International Piano Festival 초청 독주를 성황리에 마쳤다.

국내에서도 서울 예술의 전당, 롯데콘서트홀 등 협연 및 독주회로 큰 호평을 받았고, 매회 전석매진을 기록하며 천재적인 기교와 섬세한 음악성을 동시에 보여주고 있다는 평을 받으며 세계가 인정하는 연주자로서의 성공적인 행보를 이어가고 있다. 현재 계명대학교 음악공연예술대학 피아노전공 교수로 재직하면서 연주활동 뿐만 아니라 후학 양성에도 힘쓰고 있다.

 Pianist Sergei Tarasov, who has captivated audiences worldwide, holds an extraordinary record of winning numerous competitions under the World Federation of International Music Competitions. His accolades include First Prize at the Sydney International Piano Competition, Prague Spring International Music Competition, Monte Carlo International Piano Competition, and the Spanish International Competition. He also secured top prizes at other prestigious contests, including Second Prize at the Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition and the Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition, and Fourth Prize at the Tchaikovsky International Competition. He is regularly invited to perform at renowned music festivals across the globe, including countries such as Russia, Germany, France, Switzerland, Croatia, Italy, and Japan. In 2017, he completed a successful concert tour in China, performing solo recitals in 23 cities. Tarasov has also graced some of the world’s most prestigious venues, including the Moscow Bolshoi Hall, Moscow International House of Music, St. Petersburg Philharmonic Hall, Tokyo Suntory Hall, Osaka Festival Hall, Sala Verdi in Milan, Sydney Opera House, Mozarteum in Salzburg, Salle Gaveau in Paris, Seville Maestranza, and National Concert Hall in Taiwan, among many others. He has performed with leading orchestras such as the Russian National Orchestra, Moscow Philharmonic Society, St. Petersburg Symphony, Tokyo Metropolitan Orchestra, Sydney Symphony, and the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, to name a few. He has also collaborated with world-renowned musicians including Vadim Repin, Alexander Buzlov, and Clara-Jumi Kang for European tours and concert performances. Tarasov was invited to perform at the Artur Rubinstein Piano Festival in Poland in 2011, 2013, and 2019. Notably, in March 2019, he performed Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 at the Trans-Siberian Art Festival, one of Russia’s premier music festivals, under the direction of music director Vadim Repin, earning enthusiastic acclaim from local audiences. Since then, he has continued to perform regularly across Russia in both solo and concerto appearances. In May 2024, he and Vadim Repin headlined CBS’s 70th Anniversary Concert: The Tchaikovsky, achieving a sold-out performance for two consecutive days. In July 2024, he also delivered a highly praised solo recital at the Lanzhou International Piano Festival in China. In Korea, he has performed to critical and popular acclaim at venues such as the Seoul Arts Center and Lotte Concert Hall, consistently selling out shows and receiving praise for his virtuosic technique and refined musical expression. 

Currently, he is a professor of piano at the College of Music and Performing Arts at Keimyung University, actively balancing his performance career with nurturing the next generation of musicians.
