섬세한 해석과 깊이 있는 연주로 완성도 높은 음악을 선보이는 바이올리니스트 김정수는 서울예술고등학교를 실기우수로 졸업하고 서울대학교 음악대학을 실기수석으로 졸업하였다. 이후 독일 쾰른 국립음대 전문연주자과정 및 석사과정을 졸업하였으며 끊임없는 연구와 개발에 노력을 기울여 귀국 후 경희대학교 음악대학 박사과정을 수료하였다. 

일찍이 실력과 재능을 인정받아 KBS 신인음악콩쿨 대상, 한국음악협회 및 해외파견콩쿨 대상, 한미연합콩쿨 대상, 이탈리아 파도바 국제콩쿨 솔로부문과 실내악 부문 입상, 부산일보, 조선일보, 문화일보 콩쿨 등 다수의 콩쿨에서 입상하였다. 서울대학교 재학 당시 오케스트라 악장으로 활동하며 악장의 역할과 리더쉽을 배우게 되었고 이 경험을 바탕으로 귀국 후 사)서울오케스트라에서 악장으로 발탁되어 오케스트라 리더로써 활동하기 시작하였으며, 그 외에 과천시향, 프라임 필하모닉 오케스트라 객원악장 및 심포니송 오케스트라 등 악장으로도 활동을 하였다. 

 국내에서 현해은, 홍종화, 정준수, 양고운, 송인태를 사사하였고, 독일에서 Prof. Viktor Tretyakov를 사사한 그는 서울예술대학교 외래교수, 숙명여자대학교, 충주대학교 강사 및 금천교향악단, 심포니송 오케스트라 외 다수 악장을 역임하고 현재 성신여자대학교 겸임교수, 목원대학교 겸임교수, 수원대 객원교수, 경북대 객원교수, 예원학교, 서울예고, 선화예고, 계원예고를 출강하여 후학양성에 힘쓰고 있으며, 프레이어즈 필, 소리얼 필하모닉 오케스트라 등 악장으로, 리벤토 현악사중주, 로드앙상블 리더, MEG 앙상블, 앙상블 우리, 하늠챔버앙상블 멤버로 활동해오고 있다.

Violinist Kim Jung-soo, who presents high-quality music with delicate interpretation and in-depth performance, graduated from Seoul Arts High School with excellent practical skills and graduated from Seoul National University College of Music at top of his class. Afterwards, he graduated from the Professional Performer Program and Master's Program at the Cologne National University in Germany, and completed the Ph.D. program at Kyung Hee University School of Music after returning home with constant research and development efforts.

In recognition of his skills and talents, he won the Grand Prize at KBS Rookie Music Competition, the Korea Music Association and Overseas Dispatch Competition, the Korea-U.S. Combined Competition, and placed in Italy's Padova International Competition Solo and Chamber Music Award, Busan Ilbo, Chosun Ilbo, and Munhwa Ilbo Competition. When he was a student at Seoul National University, he learned the role and leadership of the orchestra. After returning to Korea, he was selected as the leader of the Seoul Orchestra. He also worked as a guest orchestra and symphony orchestra.

He studied under Hyun Hae-eun, Hong Jong-hwa, Jeong Jun-su, Yang Go-woon, and Song In-tae in Korea, and in Germany, studied under Prof. Victor Tretyakov. He worked as an adjunct professor at Seoul National University of Arts, a lecturer at Sookmyung Women's University, Chungju University, Geumcheon Symphony Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra, and in many other as a leader. He is currently a visiting professor at Sungshin Women's University, Mokwon University, Soowon University, Kyungbook National University, Yewon School, Seoul Arts, Seonhwa Arts, Gyewon Arts and has been active as a member of the Revento String Quartet, Road Ensemble Leader, MEG Ensemble, Ensemble Uri, and Hanum Chamber Ensemble, as a leader and Frears Philharmonic and the Soriel Philharmonic Orchestra as a first.
